The blossom of the almond tree (Mandelblütte) normally begins in January, at least in the area of Agroturismo Finca Na Set Centes, Artà.
However, no year is the same and I have seen years when almond trees start to blossom in January and in the middle of March they are still with flowers, while other years until the mid of February almost no trees blossom.
The picture you can see here was taken on the 12th of December 2010, in front of Agroturismo Na Set Centes, Arta, Mallorca. It is a case of an extremely early blossoming.
